SIMULTANEOUS MELTING METHOD OF DUST AND LUMPY CALCINED SLUG FOR MELTING DISCHARGED FROM WASTE INCINERATING FACILITY

PURPOSE: To provide simultaneous melting method and facility of smeltable dust and pieces of grate slag from a garbage incinerator. CONSTITUTION: Smeltable dust 6 is collected pneumatically in a slag melting bath 4 by means of a hollow immersed electrode and/or a cooled lance 8. Grating slag 7 is fed into a low-shaft electric furnace 1 by means of a transporting pipe 11 ending above the slag melting bath. The low-shaft electric furnace is operated when a melting section is under reducing conditions and in order to sustain the reducing conditions, carbon is balanced in the melting section during operation while taking account of carbon entraining to the smeltable dust and grate slag and added carbon, if necessary. The electric furnace is operated such that eluted slag glass satisfies regulations being applied.
