摘要
PURPOSE: To improve disk format efficiency by improving error tolerance in a collation process using an up-to-date collation history based on single information within a header. ;CONSTITUTION: Predicted values for the track MSB, sector address and head number of a header are loaded onto registers 50, 52 and 54, respectively, and are then sent to a multiplexer 56. On the other hand, decoded disk data are supplied to a track MSB 58, a sector address 60 and a head number 62 of their respective registers, and are then sent to a multiplexer 64. Outputs of the multiplexers 56, 64 are compared by a comparator 66, and judgment results about coincidence between the predicted values and actual values are stored in memories 68, 70 and 72. After this process is repeated, when the number of coincidence cases reaches a predetermined threshold at a threshold selection and comparison circuit 76, collation is established (OK). Outputs of the memories are also sent to an AND gate 78, and simultaneous comparison results with respect to all the three fields are displayed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
