INNER SURFACE INSPECTION APPARATUS FOR CIRCULAR VESSEL

PURPOSE: To provide an inner surface inspection apparatus for a circular vessel which can accurately inspect the presence or absence of the defect of the inner surface of the vessel to be inspected by accurately deciding the position of the vessel on an inspection screen when the inner surface of the vessel is photographed. ;CONSTITUTION: Image data imaged by a 'IV camera is present on the screen of an image processor which has an inspection area at a corner crossing over between the bottom and the side face of a circular vessel, and one-dimensional slitlike position detecting slits WS1-WS3 substantially perpendicular to a circular arc including three positions on the circumference of a ringlike high luminance part 102 corresponding to the corner are set. The coordinates of intersections P1-P3 of the slits WS1-WS3 and the part 102 are obtained. They are substituted for a circular equation to calculate the central coordinates (α, β) of a circle O in which the intersections P1-P3 exist on the points of the circumference, the position of the vessel to be inspected is specified with the central coordinates as a measured positional coordinates, thereby inspecting the presence or absence of the defect on the inner surface of the vessel.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
