The uitvingen relates to a process for the preparation of the novel compounds N-cyclic alkenyloxyimides, by treating a cyclic N-hydroxyimide with vinyl carboxylic acid esters or vinyl ethers in the presence of a suitable metal catalyst. By this method, the burden on the environment with halide salts, such as in the well-known alkyleringsreakties prevented. The obtained cyclic N-alkenyloxyimides can be quantitatively and selectively be hydrogenated to N-alkoxyimides which can then be converted into alkoxyamines.
