EASILY MACHINED POLYMER COMPOSITIONS BASED ON LINEAR LOW DENSITY POLYETHYLENE (LLDPE)

The compositions consist of: (A) copolymer of ethylene with -olefin CH2=CHR from 75 to 95 wt.%, where R is alkyl radical containing from 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and (B) is copolymer of propylene with ethylene and at least one -olefin CH2=CHR1 from 5 to 25 wt.%, where R1 is alkyl radical containing 2 to 10 carbon atoms. Copolymer (B) is insoluble in xylene when the solubility is bigger than 70%. The polymer compositions have better machining and improved mechanical qualities in comparison with the standard type linear low density polyethylene.
