The device and the method are applied for the combustion of coal having high sulphur content where there is no environmental occurs. The device is economical and effective and can be successfully applied for carrying out endothermic reactions, for the incineration of waste products, in particular of organic and medical wastes, for drying of materials, air heating, oxidation and other processes. The device includes a reactor (10) with fluidized bed of coal fitted in the lower section (12) of the reactor (10) and pulsecombustion device (30) continuing in the reactor (10) guiding a pulsing stream of the products of combustion on the fluidized bed in the reactor (10).
