The spindle head has a cylindrical housing bore and a pair of diagonally opposite axially aligned drive wedges (9A,9B) extending radially into the bore from an inner wall section. Each drive wedge has a torque absorbing guide face (10A,10B). The tool has a longitudinal axis and an axially aligned cylindrical mandrel (13) for fitting in the bore. On the trailing end the tool has a pair of axially aligned diagonally opposite slots (15A,15B) to accommodate the drive wedges.
