The edge parts (3) of the plate components (2) in the profile constructions are formed as edge connections in the form of flange type grooves(4). A joining component (5) is given a shape which corresponds to that of the edge connections. The thus formed plate component and joint component are hardened. The plate component edge parts are brought against one another and the edge connections in the adjacently arranged plate components are connected by the joining component being pushed over them. The joining component is fixed in a sealing manner on the plate component edge parts by the application of a binding medium before the joining component is pushed over the edge parts. The joining component is also heated to a suitable temp. before it is pushed over the edge connections.
