High-efficiency electromechanical transmission system for hybrid traction vehicles

The transmission system described herein represents a simplification with regard to those normally employed for hybrid traction; it consists, in fact, in a rotary electrical machine, electric motor, with its frame connected to the endothermal motor shaft and the rotor connected to the final transmission of the vehicle. For its operation it takes advantage of the principle of reversibility of the electrical machine, which in this application is utilised as both a generator and a motor. IMAGE
