Tank for double shell roadside distributors suitable for burial, in which the intermediate layer provided is partly filled with insulating material injected through suitable openings in the outer shell, but so as to allow the free circulation of a gas which is subsequently injected under pressure; to this are added means for detecting the pressure in the intermediate layer and the immediate acoustic indication of any depressurisation, all with a view to minimising loss from pollution and economic losses due to perforation of the tank by corrosion, and reduction in volume due to the thermal dispersion of the fuel.
