Modular methodology for the preliminary revetment of tunnels under construction, characterised in that it can be used with loose and/or rocky ground, even ground subject to landslides, and it calls for the construction of at least one precontainment module 1 in the shape of a shell, with essentially truncated conical three- dimensional configuration, basically comprising the following operations: - subhorizontal perforations with rectangular cross section of the individual element 2 of said precontainment module 1, made in the presence of revetment of the cavity until reaching the predetermined depth; - construction of the successive elements 2 so as to guarantee structural continuity with a continuous arch for the preliminary revetment; - excavation of the earth; and - repetition of the preceding operations for the subsequent modules 2 in the shape of a shell with essentially truncated conical three-dimensional configurations, until achieving the predetermined length for the tunnel. The invention also extends to a subhorizontal drilling apparatus (shown in the drawing), suitable to implement the aforesaid modular methodology. IMAGE
