Use of saturated and unsaturated carboxylic acids with from 7 to 13 carbon atoms or their physiologically acceptable salts for the preparation of a drug for the treatment of antibiotic-resistant osteomyelitis. The disodium salt of azelaic acid in 1-molar concentration is preferably used.
