Process for the tanning of hides with products based on titanium salts, in which the decalcified and steeped hides, that is in tripe form, are kept in the same container, especially a vat, for pickling treatments, that is pickling, pre-treatment, tanning and base treatment, and then discharged and held in a moist environment for a period of more than 30 hours before subsequent further tanning and other operations.
