The apparatus according to the application FI/91/A/230 for protection against possible contamination between the interior and exterior comprises: a flexible protection element 29, 29X engaged with the lid 28 in a releasable manner; and a seal 6 in the connection 5, able to co- operate with the component 7 in order to isolate the external environment from the confining spaces; by means of the seal 6 the end portion of the protective element 29 is acted on so as to be disengaged from the lid during an operation involving replacement of an occluding component 7.
