To facilitate pedalling, two rockers are added to the cranks of the bicycle instead of pedals. These rockers have arms of different lengths, and are divaricated by about 120 degree on the axis of rotation. The pedals are screwed back onto the short arms, which face forward, while the link rods are constrained to the long arms with articulation fixed to the axis of the rear wheel or to the small forks, or to the screw of the seat post. This connecting rod assembly works in such a way that when pushing you have a lever with a longer arm, while during the return stroke it shortens so as not to touch the ground. With this lever assembly, in the rotation of pedals, there is a continuous positive variation of the lever arm, that is, a greater twisting moment during the driving thrust and therefore greater exploitation of the muscular effort.
