A METHOD IS PRESENTED TO CONTROL THE ENERGY THAT IS BEING SUPPLIED TO A LOAD (L, L '') FROM AN ALTERNATING CURRENT VOLTAGE SOURCE (V, V '') THROUGH A STATIC SWITCH (I, I '') WHICH INCLUDES AT LEAST ONE SWITCHING ELEMENT OF A CONTROLLABLE WAY (T, T1, T2) AND A RECTIFIER (P, D1, D2) CONNECTED TO SUCH SWITCHING ELEMENT AND TO THE SERIAL SOURCE WITH THE LOAD. THIS METHOD PROVIDES WHAT IS NECESSARY FOR THE STATIC SWITCH (I, I '') TO CONNECT AND DISCONNECT DURING EACH HALF WAVE OF THE VOLTAGE SUPPLY (V, V '') A FIRST AND SECOND PRESELECTED MOMENT.
