A flare comprising an oxygen reservoir section, afuel reservoir section and a nozzle section; the oxygenreservoir section having a reservoir capable of containingoxygen at high pressure, and a valve operable by an actuatorto selectively permit transmission of pressurized oxygenfrom the reservoir; the fuel reservoir section including acollapsible fuel bag having a fuel orifice at one end and aplug normally positioned over the orifice; and the nozzlesection having a oxygen flow deflector, a fuel atomizingregion and an ignition region.
