The table with crosswise operating carrier balls comprises ahorizontal tray (6) with freely rotating carrier balls (7)protruding on both sides of the tray (6). The carrier balls(7) are imparted a rotary motion in a first and in a seconddirection, either this way or that way, by means of anendless belt (4) the upper part of which is in contact withthe carrier balls (7), and by means of endless chains (8)fitted on the sides (9) of the tray (6) so as to shift thelatter with regard to the endless belt (4).
