TISSUE PAPER HAVING LARGE SCALE AESTHETICALLY DISCERNIBLE PATTERNS AND APPARATUS FOR MAKING THE SAME

The present invention is directed to a single lamina tissuepaper having visually discernible, large scale patterns madeduring the drying step of the papermaking process. Particularly,the tissue is made on a blow through drying belt having a patternof alternating knuckles and deflection conduits. This patternproduces a like pattern of regions in the paper having alternatingvalues of crepe frequencies, opacities and elevations. Thedifferences in these values produces a visually discerniblepattern.
