APPARATUS FOR ELIMINATING THE FLUTTER OF A PAPER WEB IN THE DRYER SECTION OF A PAPERMAKING MACHINE

An apparatus in the dryer section of a papermaking machinefor preventing the flutter of a paper web (W) comprises anair blow box (1) located between cylinders (2, 4) within aloop of a support fabric (F) formed by a guide roll (5).The blow box (1) includes a blow chamber (1a), into whosewall opens a nozzle (7) for providing an ejector assemblytogether with an opposite wall included in the box. Thewalls build therebetween a flow path (16) directed towardsan uncovered section (18) of support fabric (F). An aircurrent discharging from nozzle (7) is delivered throughflow path (16) and into a space (20) confined by the un-covered section (18) of support fabric (F) and therebythrough the support fabric. The all current creates avacuum in a space (19) defined between the ejector assemblyand a section (17) of support fabric (F) carrying theweb (W).
