A connection unit (1) to connect the valves of the two pneumatic tires in a twin tire set, which unit (1) has a housing (3) with a chamber (5); an air inlet (7) communicating with this chamber (5); a first airflow line (9) that communicates with the chamber (5) and can be attached, by means of an adapter (17), to the valve housing of one of the twin pneumatic tires, and a second airflow line (11) that communicates with the chamber (5) and can be attached, by means of a second adapter (17), to the valve housing of the other twin pneumatic tire, is characterized by a mechanically, hydraulically or electrically actuated contact (13) mounted in or on the housing (3), a mechanically or hydraulically or electrically or similarly acting remote control element (15) mounted entirely or partially in or on each of the airflow lines (9, 11) and a valve-actuating element (19) situated in each of the two adapters (17), where by actuating the contact (13) the valve-actuating elements (19) can be engaged, via the remote control elements (15), with the valves of the two pneumatic tires for as long as the contact (13) remains active, opening said valves and thus establishing a connection between the pneumatic tires and the air inlet (7) for as long as the contact (13) remains active.
