PROCESS FOR PREPARING ALKALINE AMINOBOROHYDRIDES AND ALKALINE AMINOBOROHYDRIDE COMPLEXES

A process is disclosed for preparing alkaline aminoborohydrides and alkaline aminoborohydride complexes by reacting a compound having the formula R?1R2NH.BH¿3 with an alkaline metal or amide in a solvent. A non-polar aliphatic or aromatic solvent and/or a bipolar aprotic solvent are used as solvents. The residues R?1 and R2¿ may be hydrogen or aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aromatic residues. The end products obtained by this process have the general formulas M(R1R2N.BH3) or M(R1R2N.BH3).xL, in which L stands for the bipolar aprotic solvent, x for a numerical value from 0.1 to 5 and M for the alkaline metal.
