In order to improve the introduction of the forces and moments transmitted by the tensioning device into the bone in an internal fixator for the correction of a lumbar spondyllisthesis with two bone screws to be screwed into the vertebral body to be corrected or into an adjacent bone, which are connected in an articulated manner by means of a transverse strut in their regions projecting from the bone, the articulated connections between bone screw and transverse strut being fixable, with extensions engaging on the bone screws and extending in the longitudinal direction thereof and with a tensioning device which exerts a tensile force onto one of the two bone screws, it is proposed that the tensioning device have a pivoting lever which is rotatably mounted on the extension of one bone screw, extends essentially transversely relative to the longitudinal direction of the extension and rests against a stop of the other extension allocated to the vertebral body to be corrected.
