The invention concerns a sealable container (1) with a lid (3) for a dry toilet, the container (1) being designed to be placed below the toilet seat (11). The container (1) has a welding edge (2) running round the rim, enabling it to be welded to the edge of the lid (3). The dry toilet described is designed to be used with such a sealable container (1). Fitted in the vicinity of the toilet seat (11) and/or the support for the edge of the container (1) is a welding device (12, 13) which extends along the whole length of the welding edge. The toilet seat (11) can be removed, in particular pivoted away, in order to able to put the container lid in place.
