The positioning and marking device uses line lasers (22,26,28) for projecting marking lines in relatively perpendicular planes, for defining the area of the body of the patient to be examined. One of the line lasers (22) is mounted on a rotary body (10) which rotates about an axis (12) coinciding with the central axis of the computer tomography appts. The patient table is positioned perpendicularly between the rotary body and the computer tomography appts., with rotation of the rotary body via a numerically-controlled drive, in dependence on control data provided by the position coordinates of the tumour detected via the computer tomography appts.
