The network includes using two-layer architecture to perform a hexagonal bidimensional discrete Fourier transform on input signals whose number is a multiple (R) of the square of another integer (N). The second layer consists of R independent sets (7-9) of cells (71-98), each having N inputs and outputs. The second layer performs a unidimensional discrete Fourier transform on the columns. The sets of cells in the second layer are interconnected by groups of row/column links (79, 89 99), and the layers themselves are interconnected by row/column links (6).
