Combination cisplatin / tamoxifen therapy for human cancers.

摘要

The present invention provides novel compositions useful in the treatment of a wide range of human cancers. The novel composition is synergistic and cytotoxic and consists of platinum-containing anti-neoplastic agents and tamoxifen. The present invention also provides a method for treating cancer. That is, the present invention provides a novel method of treating non-melanoma cancers using the novel pharmacological combination of the present invention. Another aspect of the present invention provides a novel method of reducing or overcoming the ongoing resistance to platinum containing anti-neoplastic agents, such as cisplatin.
