Hard disk drive card which satisfies two type PMS model (TYPE II PCMCIA HARD DISK DRIVE CARD)

A hard disk drive that satisfies the two-type PCM is provided. The disc drive has an outer housing 12 and a connector 14 that allows the drive to be plugged into the host computer. All electrical elements of the drive are attached to a single printed circuit board 90. The circuit board is one third of the length of the housing and is disposed between the disk 18 and the connector. Reducing the substrate length allows the circuit board to be placed on the same side as the disk so that the thickness of the entire assembly does not increase.
