FIELD: cooled gas turbines. SUBSTANCE: method involves additional measurement of gas temperature in characteristic section of the turbine on engines with controllable bypass of cooling air. Temperature of working blades is measured with cooling air bypasses switched on and off and the defective turbine is singled out on the basis of the following relation at a constant gas temperature where &Dgr;t_oper and &Dgr;t_acc= (t_off - t_on) temperature difference of working blades with cooling air bypasses off and on both in operation and during acceptance tests; permissible relative difference of temperatures.
