FIELD: catalysts production. SUBSTANCE: carbonized catalysts, sorbents and molecular sieves are subjected to regeneration, using coke burning out in oxygen-bearing gas medium in presence of nitrogen oxides. Coke burning out is exercised in temperatures interval of 260 - 600 C and under pressure of 0.45 - 3.5 atmosphere, oxygen concentrations of 2 - 40 volumetric %, nitrogen oxides 1 - 89 % and molar ratio of oxygen and nitrogen oxides as 0.02 : 33. There are different way of coke burning out: by increasing temperature and change of concentration of oxygen and /or nitrogen oxides in regulating gas in process of regeneration. As sources of nitrogen oxides or regenerating gas they use products of plasma-chemical treatment of air or oxygen-bearing gas.
