FIELD: welding. SUBSTANCE: method involves covering surfaces of part edges to be welded with protective layer of metal (nickel, iron, cobalt, copper) by plating, with metal oxides being fused or reduced in metal of welding bath in the process of welding. Protective layer thickness is 0.02-0.07 of flexible member edge thickness. The process is accomplished by dehydrogenating vacuum treatment of welded edges within temperature range of 200-1000 C. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of welded edges of flexible members. 2 dwg
