FIELD: continuous quality control of compaction of soil materials in the process of their compaction by vibration rollers. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in conversion of vibration of the compacting member into an electrical signal, separation of the basic frequency of vibration and its level from it; separation of the basic frequency of vibration and its level is performed by subtraction of two signals separated from the electrical signal, the first of them contains the basic frequency of vibration and its harmonic, the other - the second harmonic; separation of the second harmonic of the basic frequency of vibration and its level is performed after normalization of the electrical signal level in accordance with the separated level of the basic frequency of vibration; the degree of soil compaction is judged by the separated level of the second harmonic of the basic frequency of vibration averaged for a fixed time interval. The device for quality control of soil compaction uses vibrator power supplies located on the vibration roller, rectifier, control unit, the first, second and third synchronous filters, comparator, adder, the first and second amplitude detectors, regulating unit, integrator and a display unit interconnected in a definite manner; the control unit has series-connected synchronous filter, low-pass filter, square-pulse shaper, the first automatic phase-lock frequency control circuit, the second automatic phase-lock frequency control circuit and a frequency divider. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and reliability of control due to elimination of phase distortions between the basic frequency of vibration and its harmonics. 3 cl, 3 dwg
