FIELD: machine tool manufacture, in particular, tooth-cutting machines. SUBSTANCE: lathe has base carrying tool support with rotary casing where tooth-cutting head is fixed, longitudinal and transverse slides mounted for rotation by circular guides, drive for tangential displacement of casing with tooth-cutting head, table with coincided indexing and rolling mechanisms. Lathe is further provided with additional right support positioned in symmetry with respect to table. Longitudinal slide guides are inclined at an angle providing motion of guides normally to lathe engagement plane. Transverse slides have differential drive for lead screws which enable positional and oscillating displacement of slides with tool along engagement line in opposite directions. Lathe table is made in the form of faceplate with indexing table axially mounted on faceplate and provided with individual indexing drive. Table has adjustable rolling mechanism with toothed rack pairs positioned in symmetry with respect to faceplate and adapted to rotate it. Racks are pivotally coupled with floating connecting stones. Other stones are pivotally connected by tie-rods whose second ends are pivotally connected with stones positioned in guides of levers rigidly fixed on transverse slides. Tie-rods are received in carriages longitudinally moved by drive along guides in base. Rotary casing of tool support has grinding head with grinding tail spindle, which is displaced by drive from sleeve pin for adjustable distance. Sleeve and tail spindle are actuated by drive to effectuate rotational-oscillating motions. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and improved precision, wider operational capabilities by finishing working of quenched teeth surfaces.
