FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in design of stepping up and down transformers with high transformation ratio which are simultaneously inductive elements in resonance inverters meant for supply of SHF furnaces, welding apparatuses and so on. Transformer is manufactured in the form of magnetic circuit with forward core and two cylindrical windings, upper one being one-layer winding is located above primary winding with gap. Turns are made flat in radial direction and are separated with dielectric. Internal and external windings may be sectionalized and turns of adjacent sections may be placed between others. External faces of dielectric separating turns may form heat removing surfaces. In this case dielectric should display good heat conductivity. Dielectric may be flexible and perforated. EFFECT: reduced inherent capacitance of transformer, increased electric strength, improved thermal characteristics, expanded limits of control over leakage inductance, simplified technology of manufacture of windings, of assembly and disassembly of transformer and of tuning of leakage inductance.
