FIELD: defence equipment, in particular, methods of firing of guided missiles with visual missile tracking, and guided missile for implementation of the given method. SUBSTANCE: the method of firing of guided missile with visual missile tracking by luminous radiator consists in firing of the missile and its guidance with determination of the missile on trajectory by luminous radiator in it; with the increase of the distance between the beep box and missile, cyclic variation of the power of luminous radiation perceived at the beep box is performed, with alternate relationship in a cycle between the maximum and minimum radiator may be performed; and in a missile, using a backward-directed luminous radiator, the latter is made as an electric luminous radiator furnished with a programmer of cyclic power variation of luminous radiation; the programmer can be made as a missile spinning device and a shield positioned on the missile along its axis from behind; the missile spinning device is made in the form of wings positioned at an angle in plan to the missile axis; the electric luminous radiator may be provided with a reflector, whose axis is positioned at an angle to the missile axis equal to the angle of attack of the missile in flight; and a reflecting layer is applied onto the shield on the side of the electric luminous radiator; the electric luminous radiator is installed on the missile tail with a radial shift relative to the missile axis. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency due to the increase of the range of fire, simplified design and reduced dimensional and mass characteristics.
