The invention concerns a method of mounting jewels in metal finger rings, the method calling for the jewels to be inserted in a mounting in the ring and held in place by securing means. In order to make it possible to produce a mechanically stable, visually attractive setting for one or more jewels, the invention proposes that the jewels (14) are inserted from inside in a radially pierced mounting (16) in a continuous outer ring (10) and that a continuous inner ring (12) of smaller diameter, forming the securing means, is subsequently placed in the space inside the outer ring (10) and widened radially, thus holding the jewels (14) in place between the mounting (16) in the outer ring and a second mounting (18) in the inner ring a certain radial distance from the first.
