Warp knitting machine with oil temp. control avoids implements' clash

A warp knitting machine with a housing (7) for the mainshaft drive has an oil supply (18,10,20), with at least one bar (1) set by a pattern appts. (10,11,12,13,14) contg. a drive (16), and an oil circuit (26,27,32,26) in the region of the pattern appts.. The oil is fed via a temp. setting appts. (28,29,30) which is linked with the oil supply in the main drive housing so the circulation oil is maintained at a preset temp. level w.r.t. to that set by a temp. regulator (24) in the oil supply. Pref. the linkage between the temp. setting appts. and the oil supply is achieved by a comparitor (31), adjusted to a preset difference value, which sends a control signal to the temp. setting appts. drive. from the deviation from the preset value. Alternatively the temp. setting appts. for the oil circulation is a heat exchanger, located in the main shaft drive housing, which puts into effect the linkage between the temp. setting appts. and the oil feed to maintain the circulating oil at the same temp. as that in the main drive housing. There is a cooler in the oil circuit. The circulating oil is fed: over a ball-joint (14) between the pattern appts. and a push-rod (10) to adjust the bar; over a slide (13) which carries the ball-joint; over a sensing roller (12) which rests against a disc cam (11) driven by the pattern drive and over the pattern drive.
