Fast-acting, fully-automatic 3-platen pressure injection of complex rubbery mouldings

Fast ejection of rubbery injection mouldings are produced in a 3-platen mould with ejector-, injection- and central sections with mould cores (10), and hydraulically actuated mould jaws (5, 6). In this method, after injection, the tool jaws (5, 6) part, and the rubber mouldings (20) remain sealed on the injection side. The ejection section withdraws, and compressed air is then blown through the mould core (20). The ejection section withdraws further, until the moulding is only held on the injection section. Finally the part is stripped from the injection section by an ejection system. Also claimed is a three-platen injection mould.
