The fuel system module (5) incorporates a fuel pump (7), fuel filter (10), tank venting and pressure and level sensors (14,16) and is inserted in a corresponding opening in the fuel tank (1), sealed by a cover (12). The external fuel line (11) and the electrical connections (11,13) are also incorporated in the pre-assembled fuel system module, together with an overflow line for fuel returned from the fuel pump.
