In a circular trough positive mixer, with a drive in an inner cylinder of the circular trough, a reducing gear for the motor is in the form of a planetary gearbox with external rotor bowl (18) to which a tool carrier (30) can be fastened in a first position and in a second position, turned through 180 deg. from the first. Pref., the tool carrier is symmetrical about its central radial plane (52) such that the mountings (36, 54) for the arms (42) can be fastened in the same peripheral area in both positions. The tool carrier pref. has a mounting plate (34) which rotary bearings (36) for at least some of the cantilevered arms, on each of which a tiling block (40) is fastened.
