Gas phase polymerization of conjugated dienes in the presence of rare earth allyl compounds

Conjugated dienes can be successfully gas-phase polymerised in the presence of catalysts based on rare earth allyl compounds, organic aluminium compounds and an inorganic carrier. The diene rubbers produced by this process have a high cis-1,4 double bond content and a 1,2 double bond content of over 1 %.
