Water leak damage prevention system for domestic appliance

Domestic appliances using water from a supply tap may cause damage to living accommodation caused by an undetected rupture in the inlet hose flooding the floor. This hazard is normally prevented by surrounding the inlet hose by a concentric hose which leads the leaking water to the base of the machine which contains a water detection sensor which then isolates the inlet valve from its electrical supply. The inlet valve is contained within a housing integral with the inlet and surrounding hose and is connected to the tap. By enabling the hoses to be removably connectable to the valve housing the hoses may be extended or replaced economically.
