The spinning assembly has a spinning jet (3) which generates an eddy air stream, near a leading drawing roller (2). The false twister (T) has two hollow rollers of a flexible and elastic material, after the jet (3) in the direction of material travel. Also claimed is a spinning action where the fibre material is passed between two rotating units, at right angles to each other, to impose a twist and onwards movement, while the fibre material is clamped between them. The rotary speed of the units matches the fibre travel speed through their clamping point.
