Fluid filled elastic connection for absorbing vehicle engine vibrations

The connection (10) has a first and a second connecting element (12,14) spaced apart from each other and connected by an elastic body (16). A dividing element (34) is carried by the second connecting element and works with the elastic body to define a pressure bearing chamber (44) filled with incompressible fluid. A flexible membrane (36) works together with the dividing element to define a compensation chamber (46) on the opposite side of the dividing element lying remote from the pressure bearing chamber and also filled with incompressible fluid. The dividing element has a first opening (64) in connection with the pressure bearing chamber and the compensation chamber and allows fluid to flow through between the chambers. The dividing element has a connection opening (62) open to a mid section of the membrane and allows a fluid connection of the first opening with the compensation chamber.
