Compact drying system for external antistatic coatings of cathode ray tubes

A drying system for CRT coatings includes an oven (4) containing a pedestal (8) for the CRT (6). Both ends of the line (14) from a low temperature air heater (18) and pump (16) connect to the sides of the oven, promoting forced air circulation. Pref. temperature and/or pressure measurements (10,12) at the top of the oven monitor its internal conditions from which the controller (20) determines the course of the process by adjusting the operation of the pump and/or heater.
