A reagent for the analysis of triglycerides which are present, for example, in blood serum contains lipases in combination with monoglyceride lipases which are suitable for acting with substrate specificity on monoglycerides and additionally catalyse the enzymatic reaction: monoglyceride + H2O - glycerol + fatty acids. The glycerol which is formed or the fatty acids which are formed are determined quantitatively by known analytical methods in order therefrom to calculate the content of triglycerides.
