Method and apparatus for cleaning the exhaust air from manufacturing facilities of the rubber - and rubber industry

A process for purifying the exhaust air from rubber industry manufacturing plants, in particular textile coating, is described. In order to decrease odour-intensive exhaust air constituents considerably with low plant and operating costs, heat is transferred from the plant exhaust air to fresh air with relative motion of heat-transfer surfaces to the gas connection ducts. The exhaust air is selectively cooled to the condensation temperature of the odour-substance-containing fraction of the condensable matter in the exhaust air and the condensate is precipitated on the hot-gas-side end of the heat-transfer surfaces. The exhaust air is conducted away.
