Short printing mechanism for offset printers with waterless printing plate

In an offset printing machine operating with a plate cylinder associated with a 'waterless' flat bed printing plate, a short printing mechanism comprises at least two application rollers (13,14), each in contact with the screen roller (16) and the flat bed printing plate (8). - one of the application rollers (13) has a coating (21), pref. of silicone or fluorosilicone rubber, which is receptive to sepn. agent, i.e. has high affinity to e.g. silicone oil and at least one of these rollers (14) has a coating which is receptive to printing ink, i.e. has high affinity to mineral oils or vegetable oils.
