Circular saw blade for use in grooving applications

The circular blade (1) has a central hole (9) for connecting to a drive shaft. Cutting tips (4) are fixed in pairs to seats on a projecting part (6) of the blade in a symmetrical manner. In the area adjacent to each tip is a cut-away curved section (7) which leads into a further projecting section (8) located between each pair of cutting tips. The flat top of this projecting section lies on a tangent (16) which joins the ends of the immediately adjacent cutting tips. Radial slots (10) are located around the circumference at various positions joined to the curved cut-away sections.
