The guide is created on the upper side of a sleeper (2) on the route of a railway track, and is built up with concrete in order to form a wave-shaped raised section (6). The section spans the whole width (4) of the sleeper, and has a slit which runs through its centre, on the axis of the conductor (10). The conductor is laid in the slit, which may connect with the side surfaces (5) of the sleeper with downward curving, rounded edges (8). The conductor may be retained by a covering plug (11), which is inserted into a round, widened section (9) of the slit.
